Minutes of October 3, 2016 Meeting of the Fresno County Airport Land Use Commission

Action:  Review and approve, or approve with edits, the October 3, 2016 Fresno County Airport Land Use Commission minutes.

General Plan and Development Code Cleanup, City of Fresno

Summary: Plan Amendment Application No. A-16-015 proposes to amend the City of Fresno General Plan Paths and Trails Map (See attached) and related text in the General Plan to incorporate the Class 1 Paths and Trails network proposed in the Active Transportation Plan.

The Fresno Active Transportation Plan, filed by the City of Fresno Development and Resource Management Director and pertaining to property located within the Fresno General Plan Sphere of Influence. The intent of the Active Transportation Plan is to act as a guidance document for active transportation in the City of Fresno, with the goals of equitably improving the safety and perceived safety of walking and bicycling in Fresno, increasing walking and bicycling trips in Fresno by creating user-friendly facilities, improving the geographic equity of access of walking and bicycling facilities in Fresno, and to fill key gaps in Fresno’s walking and bicycling networks. 

Action:  The City of Fresno staff requests a Determination of Consistency for the City of Fresno General Plan Paths and Trails Map.

Caltrans Division of Aeronautics Grant Funding Progress

Summary:  ALUC staff has been working with the ALUC Subcommittee and Airport Managers to draft a timeline and Scope of Work required by Caltrans for the Fresno County ALUC Airport Land Use Plans update and consolidation. Staff will update the Commissioners on any further progress and next steps. Please see he attached Timeline and Scope of Work documents.

Action:  Discussion item. Direction may be taken at the discretion of the committee.
