This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the SSTAC on the items within its jurisdiction but not on this agenda.  Note: Prior to action by SSTAC on any items on this agenda, the public may comment on that item.

Subject: Members, Katherine Martindale and Chenier Derrick have agreed to another two-year term on the SSTAC as sitting board members.  Katherine, representing local service providers servicing persons of limited means who use public transit, and Chenier, representing local social services providers servicing members of the disabled community using public transit have agreed to serve another two-year term.  Katherine is also the sitting Chair of the SSTAC through January, 2027.

Action: Staff requests that SSTAC recommend the Fresno COG TTC and PAC approve Katherine Martindale and Chenier Derrick to serve another 2-year term.

Subject: The public hearing for the Unmet Transit Needs has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the offices of Fresno COG at 2035 Tulare St., Ste. 201, Fresno, CA 93721 in the Sequoia Room.  The public hearing is the final public outreach event of the current cycle of the Unmet Transit Needs Assessment.

The draft FY2026-27 Fresno COG Unmet Transit Needs Assessment is attached for your review and approval.  It will be replaced with the final FY2026-27 Fresno COG Unmet Transit Needs Assessment after the public hearing.

To date, seventy-three comments have been received; twelve (12) meeting the criteria of unmet transit need, twelve (12)  were not applicable, and forty-nine (49) did not meet the need of an unmet transit need.  Of the twelve (12) comments received meeting the criteria of an unmet transit need, none (0) were found to be reasonable to meet.

After approval by the Committee, the FY2026-27 Fresno COG Unmet Transit Needs Assessment will go to the Fresno COG Transportation Technical Committee / Policy Advisory Committee (TTC/PAC) on June 12, 2026.  The report is scheduled for adoption at the Fresno COG Policy Board meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 5:30 pm.

Action: Staff requests that SSTAC forward the final FY2026-27 FCOG Unmet Transit Needs Assessment Report to the Fresno COG Policy Advisory and Transportation Technical Committees.
