City of Fresno Public Works Department Proposed Municpal Code Amendment (Braden Duran) [ACTION]

Summary: The City of Fresno Public Works Department is processing a proposed amendment to Chapter 15 in the Municipal Code. Modifications to this section of code require review by this commission.

The Fresno Municipal Code currently requires that 100% of public improvements to a development are completed prior to a subdivider’s bond being released.  This specific amendment to Chapter 15, Section 3804, of the Fresno Municipal Code would allow the bonds to be released without these improvements in place. Therefore, bonds could be released before infrastructure such as the completion of sidewalks, driveways, or street trees is completed.

Staff has reviewed the City of Fresno’s proposed resolution and does not have any concerns.

Action: Staff requests that the Fresno County Airport Land Use Commission approves a finding of consistency for the City of Fresno’s proposed amendment to the Municipal Code.
