Environmental Justice Subcommittee Update (Paul Herman) [INFORMATION]

Summary: Staff will provide a brief summary of the Environmental Justice (EJ) Subcommittee's first meeting, which took place on July 10th. Staff with also provide a timeline of upcoming tasks of the EJ Subcommittee.

Action: Information only. Direction may be provided at the discretion of the Roundtable.

Programming Technical Working Group Update (Ofelia Abundez) [INFORMATION]

Summary: Staff will provide a brief summary of the Programming Technical Working Group's first meeting, which took place on July 23rd. Staff with also provide a timeline of upcoming tasks of the Programming Technical Working Group.

Action: Information only. Direction may be provided at the discretion of the Roundtable.

2026 RTP/SCS Demographic Forecast (Shichen Fan) [INFORMATION]

Summary: Staff will provide an overview of the 2026 RTP/SCS Demographic Forecast and how this information is used in the development of the RTP/SCS.

Action: Information only. Direction may be provided at the discretion of the Roundtable.

New Challenges for the 2026 RTP/SCS (Paul Herman) [INFORMATION]

Summary: The 2026 RTP/SCS will be facing several new challeneges from previous cycles of this process, including new requirements from the California Air Resources Board, the short and long-term impacts of evolving telework policies across various industries, reduced forecasts for population growth with unchanged vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas reduction targets, and serveral other challenges facing the region for this cycle of the RTP/SCS. Staff will provide a brief dicussion about these issues.
